Film KKN Desa Penari berawal dari kehebohan utas di Twitter dari user bernama Simpleman pada 2019 silam. Kisah horor itu diberi nama “KKN di Desa Penari” dan diceritakan dari 2 sudut pandang berbeda, yakni versi Nur dan Widya.

Kisah mengerikan itu konon diangkat dari kejadian nyata.
2. Nama Penulis dan Desa Hingga Kini Masih Jadi Misteri
Menariknya hingga saat ini, sang penulis alias Simpleman masih menjadi misteri karena tidak ada yang tahu identitasnya. Selain penulis misterius, semua nama desa dan lokasi yang diceritakan pada kisah tersebut sangat dirahasiakan oleh Simpleman.
Ia hanya menulis kota tempat kejadian itu berinisial B sedangkan mahasiswa yang jadi korban dalam cerita itu berasal dari kota S.
3. Ditunda 2 Tahun Karena Pandemi
Rumah produksi MD Pictures sebenarnya telah selesai menggarap film “KKN di Desa Penari” sejak 2019 silam, yang kemudian dijadwalkan tayang pada tahun 2020.
Sayangnya pandemi Covid-19 menyerang Indonesia sehingga bioskop-bioskop tidak boleh beroperasi hingga pada akhirnya film pun terpaksa ditunda untuk waktu yang belum ditentukan.
Pada awal tahun 2022 ini, MD Pictures mengumumkan “KKN di Desa Penari” akan tayang pada Februari. Namun karena ada aturan PPKM dari pemerintah, film tersebut kembali ditunda hingga 30 April 2022 mendatang.
4. Proses Produksi Habiskan Rp 15 Miliar Lebih
Manoj Punjabi, produser film “KKN di Desa Penari” menjelaskan jika proses syuting film tersebut mengalami banyak sekali kendala. Bahkan gara-gara itu, biaya produksi pun membengkak hingga puluhan miliar rupiah.
“Banyak (kesulitan), waktu itu kita syuting bulan November sampai Desember, lagi hujan-hujannya, bangun set di hutan sempet lengser. Banyak banget cobaan yang kita alamin,” beber Manoj Punjabi.
“Ya budget naik juga, tapi Alhamdulillah selesai dengan baik dan semuanya lancar. Kisaran di atas Rp 15 miliar. Belum promosi. Memang gila,” lanjutnya.
5. Dirilis Jadi 2 Versi Berbeda
Film “KKN di Desa Penari” akan dirilis dalam 2 versi yang berbeda, yakni UNCUT dan Non UNCUT dengan target usia penonton sendiri. Versi UNCUT hanya ditujukan untuk penonton usia 18 tahun ke atas.
6. Menimbulkan Penyesalan dari Penulis
Diungkap dari YouTube Raditya Dika, Simpleman merasa terganggu sejak cerita yang diunggahnya jadi viral. Belum lagi pihak yang mengalami kejadian secara langsung pun merasa terganggu karena media sosialnya dipenuhi warganet.
Padahal, para pihak terlibat telah menyembunyikan identitas, lokasi kejadian, sampai nama kampus mereka.
7. Tissa Biani Alami Kejadian Mistis
Dalam acara gala premiere “KKN di Desa Penari” yang digelar baru-baru ini, Tissa Biani yang memerankan karakter Nur sempat menceritakan pengalaman mistis yang dirasakannya saat proses syuting film berlangsung. Tissa mengalami hal itu saat berada di hotel sepulang syuting.
“Mengalami (kejadian mistis) bukan saat proses syuting, tapi sudah pulangnya, pas di hotel itu aku sempat kecapean juga. Ada ngomong-ngomong sendiri gak jelas halu. Ngigo kata orang sih,” ungkapnya.
